Welcome to Banglar Manabadhikar Suraksha Mancha (MASUM)

Banglar Manabadhikar Suraksha Mancha (MASUM) is acting, protesting and raising its voice against state repression such as custodial violence, custodial rape, torture & death, illegal detention and enforced disappearance from police custody, BSF Torture, Extra judicial killing and police firings.

Organization is also involved with life and livelihood issues of marginalized communities and remonstrates against starvation, forced eviction, enforced migration and trafficking of human being and subsequent non-deliverance by the state – in unison trying to create pressure on the government and administration to strictly adhere the rule of law whatsoever established till now and extension of the same.

Masum has also developed a complaint mechanism and filing complaints on individual incidents of human rights violation to authorities and different human rights institutions and acquainting the same to international fraternity.

UNVFVTMASUM is providing legal, medical, psychological and social assistance to victims of torture on the aegis of United Nations Voluntary Fund for Victims of Torture (UNVFVT) assisted programme from 2009 - 2010.
