Our Role before the Court of Law: -

MASUM provides legal assistance to the victims of torture as well as to the accused persons facing criminal proceedings belonging with the marginalized people to uphold the universal principle of right to defend, the effort to extend legal assistance to vulnerable is challenging the prevalence of legal silence of judiciary and also uphold the human right position of equality before the law. We are bound to provide supports to the victims as far possible. MASUM supporting the victims in two different ways,

• Complainant
 

With the help of a number of Pro-Bono advocates attached with different sub divisional District and High Court we are trying to provide legal aid to the victim of torture.

There are many Cases which turns human conscience into doubt whether we are really living in a civilized society, where every citizen have an equal right before the court of law. MASUM tries to soothe the pain and sufferings of the marginalized sections of the society with extending legal assistance to the victim.
